GNPC Foundation, the social investment arm of GNPC, will on Friday, January 3, 2020 cut sod for the construction of an artificial pitch at the Methodist Park in Sekondi.

The project, according to some top hierarchy at the GNPC Foundation, is to develop football in the Western Region.
The GNPC Foundation recently cut sod for the construction of an ultra-modern astro turf at the Effiakuma Police Park costing around $250,000 which currently nears completion.
However, after deliberations, the leadership of GNPC have decided to transform the famous Sekondi Methodist Park into an ultra-modern artificial turf, which the people of Sekondi have been crying for over decades.

Kyfilla.com can confirm that, the Adiembra Community Park will also undergo transformation.
Per our copper-bottom source, there would be a sod cutting ceremony at Adiembra on Friday afternoon for the construction of artificial pitch at the community Park before that of the Sekondi Methodist Park begins in the late afternoon of the same day.
The grand breaking ceremony is expected to be witnessed by the National NPP Chairman Freddy Blay, Dr. K.K Sarpong, CEO of GNPC, Dr. Dominic Eduah who is the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Hon. Egyapa Mercer the Member of Parliament for Sekondi and other dignitaries.
