World Wrestling and Entertainment’s Smackdown Champion, Kofi Kingston has landed in Ghana on a four-day visitation tour.
Kingston of the Smackdown tag team group, the Newday comprising of Big E and Xavier Woods, on Sunday, April 7, 2019 beat Daniel Bryant via a painful count to become the new WWE Smackdown Champion after eleven active years as a wrestler.
The 37-year old born in Kumasi to Mr. Sarkodie-Mensah and Dr. Elizabeth Sarkodie-Mensah has finally arrived in Ghana for the very first time in 26 years for a four-day visit that runs from Thursday, May 30 to Sunday, June 2, 2019.
He is currently in Accra on a ‘meet and greet’ ride with his fans and will journey back to Kumasi before flying out to the United States on Sunday.
Kingston, known in real life as Kofi Nehaje-Sarkodie Mensah, made his WWE debut in 2008 with the ring name Kofi Kingston and he’s currently the first African-born champion in the history books of the WWE.
