Tanzania head coach Emmanuel Amuneke has named his final 23-member squad for the AFCON 2019 in Egypt which start in June 21 and end at July 19, 2019.
The Nigerian tactician dropped nine players from his initial 32 provisional squad, including 15-year-old Kelvin John Pius, who impressed for Tanzania in the just-concluded U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
In all 13 local based players were included in the final squad alongside 10 foreign based players. The team will take on Egypt in a pre-afcon friendly on Thursday before a final test against Zimbabwe.
The Taifa Stars are in group C alongside Kenya, Senegal and Algeria and will begin their campaign against the Taranga Lions on June 23 at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.
