Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richard Senanu’s trip to Germany for surgery has been put on hold.
According to Nana Kwame Dankwah who is the Accra rep for the Porcupine Warriors, the German Embassy has denied the midfielder a visa to aid him undergo the knife even though the club has fulfilled all requirements.
Senanu sustained the injury during Asante Kotoko CAF Confederation Cup game against Zesco United and was scheduled for surgery in Germany on Saturday, June 22, 2019 but seems like the trip will be rescheduled after being denied visa.
“It’s true the German Embassy has refused Senanu visa to aid him go under the knife which management is surprised”, Nana Kwame Dankwah told Oyerepa FM.
“We provided every evidence to that effect to the extent of purchasing his ticket which he should had left Ghana on the 22nd of June. We will appeal to the embassy so he gets the entry visa because the hospital in Germany is also intervening.
“We have paid for all expenses for the trip including our medical rep that will be going with him as well as where he will be going for rehabilitation so its never true we didn’t do enough”, Nana Kwame Dankwah concluded.
