Asante Kotoko have released five players ahead of next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
The Porcupines who have included twelve players in their already exiting squad have asked five of the old squad to leave as soon as possible.
According to news making rounds in the Ghanaian media, management of the Kumasi based side have given released letters to Daniel Nii Adjei, Zabo Teguy, Stephen Nyarko, Omar Bashir and Obed Owusu.
Kyfilla.com understands they are the first batch of players asked to leave the club with another five coming in the next few days.
The five players have been asked to leave the club following their unsatisfactory outputs in the CAF Confederation Cup last season and the just ended Normalization Committee Special Competitions.
Meanwhile, the Porcupines will play their first game in the CAF Champions League campaign on August 9, 2019.
