Former Black Stars first-choice shot-stopper, Razak Braimah says his offensive 2017 AFCON video has affected his football career badly.
According to the former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper, he made a mistake in responding to one of his critics who insulted his mother.
“I will take this opportunity to apologize to all Ghanaians who were offended by my offensive video. I made a mistake in responding to one fan who was so critical on me and even went to the extent of insulting my mum who is so dearly to me’, Braimah told Abusua FM.
”The issue has affected my career so much because I would have been in camp by now. Everyone who was offended should kindly forgive me”, he added.
Two years ago at the Nations Cup in Gabon, Braimah insulted his critics after Ghana’s 1-0 defeat to Egypt using unprintable words at fans of the Black Stars.
The then Mamelodi Sundowns goalie suffered a lot of backlashes, which saw him lose his position with the national team.
Razak Braimah earned his first team cap for Ghana on August 14, 2013, appearing in a 2:2 friendly draw in Turkey. He was part of the squad that appeared in the 2015 AFCON where Ghana lost to Ivory Coast in the finals.
