Black Stars of Ghana and Jiangsu Sunning midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has donated to sports journalists in the Northern Region as his support towards the Ramadan fasting.
The Ramadan, is considered as a month of peace and love, and one of the defining pillars of Islam and many familiar faces. The fasting begun on Thursday April 23 and will end on May 23, 2020.
As part of his contribution towards the Ramadan, Mubarak Wakaso has donated two bags of sugar among others to sports journalists in the Northern Region.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Northern Region Sports journalists, Mumuni Abdul-Mumin, the Interim Treasurer of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Northern Region at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, expressed his appreciation to the Black Stars midfielder and assured him that the Sports Journalists of the Northern Region would always be there for him in times of need.
Wakaso, known for giving back to the society, recently donated Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers, liquid soap and tissue papers to the major Chief Palaces in the Dagbang Kingdom to help fight against the COVID 19 pandemic.

The 29-year old midfielder has several times presented sets of jerseys, footballs, training bibs and many more football equipment and materials to the Juvenile clubs in Tamale.
The midfielder was born in the Northern Region’s capital Tamale and begun his football career in Tamale with Republicans FC (Reps), a Juvenile club in Tamale.

He currently plays for Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League in China after leaving Spanish Laliga outfit Deportivo Alaves.
Wakaso has capped 58 times for the Black Stars of Ghana since his debut in 2012, scoring 12 goals.
