Karela United skipper, Ampem Dacosta has vowed to part ways with the Nzema based side should Asante Kotoko beat them in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier one.
Karela United will battle with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier one to book a ticket at the next season’s CAF Champions League.
However, Dacosta who is the most capped player for the Crosby Awuah Memorial lads believes, there is no way Asante Kotoko will defeat his outfit in the finals of the NC Special Competition scheduled for Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
” We are poised for action ,very determined and no way Kotoko will beat us on Sunday, absolutely no way ,we are Karela and if this happen I will just quit playing ,which I know it can’t be possible for them to beat us ” Dacosta told West End Radio.
Karela United with Diawisie Taylor’s last minutes goal ensured they pip Ashgold at the Obuasi Lenclay Stadium to book final ticket while Asante Kotoko snatched a final berth by clamping arch rivals Hearts of Oak via 4:5 on penalty shootouts after 1:1 in regulation at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The final promises to be exciting and full of fireworks as both Diawisie Taylor of Karela United and Asante Kotoko’s Abdul Fatawu Shafiu battle for the topscorers award in the competition. Taylor currently lead the pack with 10 goals whiles Shafiu follows with 9.
