The Police have gripped vendors who were selling fake Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Strike replicas in Ashaiman of the Greater Accra region.
The vendors per report, were capitalizing on the team’s victory over bitterest rival Hearts of Oak on last Sunday to make money by selling fake Asante Kotoko replicas to the public.
Former Asante Kotoko player Yusif Chibsah Alhassan who played a vital role in ensuring that the team strike a deal with the Portuguese kits manufacturing company, indicated that the vendors were arrested on early Monday morning following a tipoff.

” Another arrest dondo this morning at Ashaiman market- Accra. Vendors selling fake Asante Kotoko replica jerseys”, Chibsah tweeted.
The Porcupine Warriors sealed a three year deal with Strike in November 2018 with the team earning a whooping GH¢50,000 for inking the deal aside revenue from the sales of replica jerseys and paraphernalia from the company.
