Head Coach of Nzema Kotoko, Christian Lokko has unequivocally stated the readiness of Nzema Kotoko to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup after beating Unistar Academy to make the final of the NC Special Tier II competition.
Coach Christian Lokko made the revelation on Connect FM when quizzed whether his outfit is ready for the continent showpiece if they beat Ashantigold SC in the June 30 final at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“The Nzema club can be likened to Asante Kotoko, whiles the Kumasi people do everything for Asante Kotoko, Nzema Kotoko have the backing of people of Nzema.
“The players are very ready for the final game. Ashantigold SC despite being a top-flight side, are beatable, my players started convincing me after our win against Karela United.
“There are a lot of well to do people at Nzema and they are ready to support the club. We are winning and we will go to Africa after that” – Coach Lokko.
The Zone 2 B clash between Nzema Kotoko and Unistar Academy ended 2-1 for the Western Region based side. Ashantigold SC manhandled Asante Kotoko by 3-1 to set up a final game against Nzema Kotoko.
