Former Black Stars assistant coach, Maxwell Konadu says current head coach of the Ghana Senior national team, Kwesi Appiah is capable of ending the country’s 37 years of not winning prestigious tournament.
Konadu who was axed as the second assistant coach of the Black Stars prior to the tournament, believes coach Kwesi Appiah has gathered enough experience to return the AFCON trophy back in Accra in July.
” I think Kwesi Appiah is capable of winning the trophy because he has gathered enough experience. Moreover, considering the materials available, I think he can win Ghana the trophy”, Konadu told Juliet Bawua of TV3.
Ghana will face South Africa in the final pre-afcon friendly in Dubai on Saturday before departing for Egypt. The team has been indented in group F alongside Benin, Guinea-Bassau and Cameroon.
