Asante Kotoko will be facing Nigeria Professional Football League side Kano Pillars in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors were handed the Kano based side for the preliminary round of the competition during an official draw in Cairo today.
Kotoko will be making their tenth CAF Champions League appearance whilst Kano Pillars will be having their sixth appearance.
The Porcupines will fly to Nigeria for the first leg on August 9, 2019 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano before hosting the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on August 28, 2019.
Kano Pillars secured a ticket to the CAF Champions League by finishing second on the Nigeria Professional Football League while Asante Kotoko won the NC Special Competition tier 1.
