Societe Omnisports towering center back, James Nyimfah says Asante Kotoko can make Ghana proud in the CAF Champions League campaign.
The 23-year old was a pillar at the defense for the Ivorian side during their friendly with the Porcupine Warriors on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
However, speaking to Kyfilla.com after the pulsating goalless draw game in Kumasi yesterday, Nyimfah indicated that the Porcupine Warriors have a strong team that can go far in the CAF Champions League and Ghanaians only have to throw their support for the team.
“I think Kotoko have a good team that can go far in the Champions League”, Nyimfah told Kyfilla.com.
“They have some brilliant players in the team including their goalkeeper [Felix Annan], they can make Ghana proud in Africa if they will replicate today’s performance.
“We were very determined to beat them, but they gave us a surprised performance”, he added.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will face Nigerian side Kano Pillars in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League campaign.
