The boys have finally been separated from the men as only four teams remain in the NC Special Competition tier 2 to battle for the right to represent Ghana in the next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The quarterfinals games for the NC Special Competition tier 2 came off on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the various centres with Asante Kotoko, Ashantigold Sporting Club, Unistar Academy and Nzema Kotoko securing a sem-final ticket.
Obuasi Ashantigold Sporting Club managed to pip Medeama Sporting Club 1:0 at the Lenclay Stadium today while Asante Kotoko made the semi-final cut by beating Berekum Arsenal 2:1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Nzema Kotoko eliminated Hearts of Lions at Kpando via 4:1 on shootouts after goalless in the regulation while Proud United were hammered 1:3 at the hands of merciless Unistar Academy.
The semi-final will see all Premier League affair as Ashantigold face off regional rivals Asante Kotoko at the Obuasi Lenclay Stadium with Nzema Kotoko to lock horns with Unistar Academy for a ticket to the final.
