Ghana’ U20 side have been eliminated from the ongoing 2019 African Games in Morocco after defeat to Mali today.
The Black Satellites were thumped 4:2 by the Malians in the last group B game at the Sports Center of the ASFAR.
Souleymane Drame netted the opener for the Malians in the 11th minute before Abdoulaye Kanou had the double in the 41st minute.
Medeama Sporting Club striker Awudu Tahiru netted the consolation for Ghana to end the first half.
Ibrahima Sangare bagged two-quick goals for Mali during the second half of the game.
Awudu Tahiru once again scored his second goal in the game for Ghana in the dying embers to end the game 4:2 for the Malians.
Ghana have been eliminated from the competition after finishing third in the group with three points after three matches..
