The week nine of the 2021/22 season of the Ghana Premier League came off this weekend with Hearts of Oak continuing their fine form against Accra Lions.
Asante Kotoko were able to recorded a hard-fought win against Legon Cities FC whereas Aduana Stars tame Berekum Chelsea to maintain position on top of the league table.
As usual there were performances from some players from the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis who are plying their trade in the domestic league.[ads2]
REAL TAMALE UNITED 2-0 ELMINA SHARKS
1. Emmanuel Essandoh
The outstanding goalkeeper was on the bench for Real Tamale United in their victory against Sharks. He is yet to make his debut for the Tamale-based club after nine matches in the league season .
2.Ebenezer Boadi Adukwaw
The brainy winger lasted fifty minutes in the enthralling encounter but couldn’t help Elmina Sharks to secure even a point in Tamale.
3. Justice Ato Mensah
The lanky goal poacher was in action for Elmina Sharks against RTU. The former Sanga Balende attacker played eighty minutes for Sharks but failed to score. It was his 8th appearance for Elmina Sharks this season.
4. Francis Oteng
The former Skyy FC forward played only ten minutes for Sharks and it was his fifth appearance for the Elmina-based club.[ads3]
5. Michael Blankson
The enterprising netminder was on the bench for Elmina Sharks in their defeat against RTU.
6. Ishmael Hammond
Hammond couldn’t make the Elmina Sharks matchday squad for the cagey encounter.
WAFA 1-0 MEDEAMA SC
1. Justus Torsutsey
The WAFA SC striker lasted 74 minutes in their narrow win against Medeama SC. This was the 8th appearance for the former Sekondi Hasaacas forward for WAFA this season after nine matches.
2. Anthony Brebo
The perspicacious goalkeeper was an unused substitute for WAFA SC and yet to play a single game for the Sogakope-based club.
3. Benjamin Abaidoo
The in-form Medeama SC player lasted the entire duration of the game and it was his fifth appearance for the Yellow and Mauves.
4. Justice Blay
The midfield dynamo lasted the entire duration of the game and it was his fourth appearance for Medeama.
5. Rashid Alhassan
The defender couldn’t make the matchday squad for Medeama Sporting Club alongside teammate Matthew Essiam
KARELA UNITED 1-1 BECHEM UNITED
1. Ebenezer Ocran
The workaholic defender cum midfielder lasted the entire duration of the game for Karela United. It was his 8th cap for Karela United.
2. Philip Flamini
The winger was in action for Karela United but lasted only twenty-eight minutes in the game. It was his third game of the season for the Pride and Passion lads.
3. Matthew Kelvin Andoh
