Thomas Teye Partey has been adjudged the 2018/19 Ghana Football Awards overall best footballer of the year.
The Atletico Madrid enforcer reclaimed the award after beating competitions from Asante Kotoko first-choice shot-stopper Felix Annan and Black Maidens star Mukarama Abdulai.
The best goalkeeper award went to Felix Annan with Mukarama Abdulai scooping the women’s footballer of the year award and the rising star award.
Hearts of Oak marksman Joseph Esso had his stunner against Dreams FC voted as the best goal of the year during the awards night held today at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.
Black Stars legends Dogo Moro and Wilberforce Mfum received the living legends award whiles the Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG) received the thumbs up award in recognition of the organization’s remarkable work towards protecting the rights and interest of Ghanaian players both the retired and the active ones.
