Asamoah Gyan has on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 held a fruitful talks with coach Kwesi Appiah after being stripped off the Black Stars captaincy.
The two were at loggerheads after the captaincy armband was handed to Andre Ayew with the Kayserispor attacker assigned a new role as the general captain for the Black Stars.
Gyan announced his retirement from the Black Stars after being stripped off the captaincy armband but eventually rescinded his decision after the intervention of the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.
The former Sunderland forward after the meeting believes Ghana should come first before any personal misunderstanding and therefore has repaired all strains with the national team gaffer.
“Met coach today…. Great family, Ghana our beloved country is first”, Asamoah Gyan posted on his official Twitter page.

Meanwhile, Asamoah Gyan has been included in the Black Stars 29-provisional squad for a PRE-AFCON camping in the United Arab Emirates and will making his seventh AFCON appearance should he make the final 23 list for the main tournament next month in Egypt.
