The Ghana Football Association is liaising with the Youth and Sports Ministry to aid the Ghanaian footballers who are left stranded in Ethiopia back home.
About 23 Ghanaian footballers have been left stranded in the East African country since March 2020 after the football season there was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak as www.kyfilla.com earlier reported.
The players couldn’t fly back home (Ghana) due to the closure of all Ghanaian borders by the government as measures to mitigate the spread of the devastating disease in the country.
Led by former Black Stars defender Lee Addy and ex-Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe, the stranded players in a video going viral pleaded with Ghanaian Government for an immediate support.

The players pleaded that the government come to their aid as soon as possible since their rent and work permit will be due on June 30, 2020.
However, the President of the Ghana FA Kurt Okraku has revealed that, his outfit have contacted the Sports Ministry to help support the stranded players in Ethiopia.
“I have just taken notice of a video of some Ghanaian Footballers who seem to be stranded in Ethiopia.
“I am in contact with Hon Issac Kwame Asiamah (Sports Minister) who has directed that, contact be made with the boys and the Ghana Embassy in Ethiopia..
“All hands on deck at the moment to offer every support to our brothers. Soon this too shall pass!!!!!”, Kurt Okraku wrote on his Facebook page.
