The Western Region Football Association are set to land a bumper sponsorship deal with Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation.

According to a reliable source, the leadership of the two parties have reached an agreement after several meetings and the deal is expected to be announced officially in the coming days.
Per the source, the sponsorship money will be use to cater for the officiating fees of the 2019/20 division two league season in the Western region.

GNPC Foundation have been instrumental in sports development in the Western region, sponsoring the upcoming National Sports Authority athletics championship, constructing of artificial pitches among others.
Meanwhile, the 2019/20 division two league season has been rescheduled to commence on the weekend of March 27-29, 2020.
