President of Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies Football Club, Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare has joined the campaign to fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Coronavirus pandemic also known as COVID-19 is fast spreading across the globe since it outbreak in China’s Wuhan Province barely three months ago.

The World Health Organization have declared the Coronavirus disease as pandemic, killing thousands of people across the world.
Since it outbreak, Ghana has so far recorded twenty-one cases with one death, and this leaves the exiting count to twenty.
Though the Ghana Health Service has indicated that more cases are likely to be recorded, a gallant of Ghanaian football personalities have joined the campaign to fight the pandemic.

The Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor alongside skipper Andre Ayew, Samuel Owusu, coach Micheal Osei, Samira Suleman among other Ghanaian sports personalities have joined the awareness.

Latest to join the campaign is the President of Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies FC – a division one female team in the Ashanti region, Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare who also double as the welfare officer for the Black Princesses of Ghana and a pioneer in women’s football in the country.

A statement from her, urging Ghanaians to adhere to the preventive measures put in place to avoid the spread of the pandemic reads, “As the world come together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, I entreat us all to be on a safer side by carefully following all the preventive measures laid down by the authorities.
“Let’s wash our hands frequently with soap and running water or apply alcoholic based hand sanitizers frequently to avoid this virus.
“Let’s do our best to stop the spread for history to make us the warriors who helped to win the war against the deadly enemy.
“Together we can win this match.”
