Explaining how he joined Kotoko, Dacosta said he nearly signed for Medeama Sporting Club but former Kotoko deputy Accra Rep Edmund Ackah convinced him to join the Porcupine Warriors.
“I had to swerve Medeama for Kotoko, I was in the office of Mr. Moses Parker when Mr. Edmund Ackah of Kotoko called me. I quickly left for Kumasi for my medicals and eventually signed for Kotoko. I have always remained a Kotoko fan, I cried when we (Karela) defeated Kotoko 3-1 in Anyinase”, he told Kumasi FM.
Though he is on the verge of joining Legon Cities FC on loan, Dacosta believes he will definitely return to Kotoko one day to command a first team play.

“I have no problem with coach Maxwell Konadu. I am still a Kotoko player and have been contemplating how i have not been able to achieve my desired aim for the club but it is normal and part of life.”
“Personally, I would wish to leave and have enough playing time at Legon Cities but even if I have to leave, I know I didn’t leave on a bad note. Kotoko is in my blood and I am a die hard fan. I am grateful to Dr. Kyei and the management for everything. I am reiterating on your medium that, even if I have to leave Kotoko, I will be back.
