Former Asante Kotoko head coach CK Akonnor will be meeting the three-member committee set up by Manhyia Palace to investigate the affairs of Kotoko.
Akonnor joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal in October 2018 but spent only nine months at the club as his contract was terminated after guiding the club to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup and winning the NC Special Competition tier I.

According to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, Akonnor who is currently the head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana has received an invitation from the committee.
The three-member committee was set up by Manhyia Palace and is chaired by Professor Lydia Nkansah, Dean of Faculty of Law at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
They have been mandated by Manhyia Palace to probe all the circumstances surrounding the team’s transactions with Tunisian giant Esperance de Tunis which nearly saw Kotoko in the second division.

The committee, with four weeks mandate, are to also help in structuring the Ghana Premier League heavyweight to fit the Club Licencing Board requirements.
Already, they have met the Executive Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei, General Manager, Nana Kwasi Gyambibi Coker, Chief Executive Officer, George Amoako, Head Coach, Maxwell Konadu, Former Accra Representative, Edmund Ackah, Former Operations Manager, Ernest Owusu Ansah, team captain Felix Annan and others.
