Kumasi Asante Kotoko talisman Abdul Fatawu Shafiu has arrived at the team’s camp in Nsuta at Mampong ahead of Accra Hearts of Oak duel.
The 24-year old arrived in Ghana on Wednesday from Dubai after being axed from the Black Stars final squad for the AFCON 2019 by head coach Kwesi Appiah.
The former Techiman Eleven Wonders dead-ball specialist trained with his teammates today ahead of Hearts of Oak clash on Sunday.
His return comes as a huge boost for the Porcupine Warriors as they are determined to sink their bitterest rival, Hearts of Oak on Sunday, June 16, 2019 in the tier one of the NC Special Competition which will be stage at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Abdul Fatawu Shafiu is the leading topscorer for the Porcupines in the NC Special Competition, scoring eight goals and he is expected to continue his spontaneous performance against the Continental Club Masters on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will miss their first-choice shot-stopper, Felix Annan who has been included in the Black Stars final 23-member squad for the AFCON 2019 with Hearts of Oak defender, Mohammed Alhassan to be available for the cracker after being dropped from the Black Stars final squad.
