The financial details of newly appointed Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has been made known to the public.
The 67-year old has been appointed as the new Black Stars head coach for a period of twelve months subject to renewal.
The former Algeria coach has signed a performance-based contract with the Ghana FA until September 2022 which is renewable should he secure qualification to the 2022 World Cup which comes off in November next year.[ads2]
The contract extension until February 28, 2023 is guaranteed to that effect.
Coach Rajevac will be smiling to the bank every month to cash out $30,000 as salary as the he’s coach of the Ghana senior male national.
According to the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo, coach Rajevac will earn $300,000 should he win the African Cup of Nations for Ghana next year in Cameroon.[ads3]
Also, the Serbian coach will pocket a $300,000 should he qualify Ghana to the 2022 world cup in Qatar though the West African country stand the chance of missing out of the prestigious tournament.
Milovan Rajevac has replaced CK Akonnor who was fired weeks ago over poor performance.
Rajevac coached a number of club sides in his native Serbia, including Sloboda Užice, Red Star Belgrade, Vojvodina and Borac Čačak.
He became Ghana manager in August 2008 and continued the Black Stars’s qualification campaign to 2010 World Cup where Ghana reached the quarter-final of the the tournament, narrowing losing to Uruguay on penalty shootouts.[ads4]
Rajevac left Ghana after the World Cup on 8 September 2010, and took up a position with Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli a day later.
In his second term, Milovan Rajevac will be assisted by former Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu and Borussia Dortmund assistant coach Otto Addo.[ads5]
