Ghana’s Black Satellites were beaten 1:0 by Senegal in the ongoing African Games today at the Stade Municipal EL Manssouria.
Youngster Ibrahima Drame’s goal ensured that, the young Tiranga Lions snatch the three maximum points at the expense of the Black Meteors.
Senegal started the game on a good note, creating decent chances which resulted in Ibrahima Drame goal in the 10th minute.
Coach Yaw Preko’ side quickly regrouped after conceding the early, to enjoy possession.
Awudu Tahiru and Emmanuel Toku strikes which were going straight into the poles, were prevented by the Senegalese goalkeeper.
Ghana continued to dominate the game in the dying embers of the game but all efforts went futile as the game ended 1:0 in favor of the Senegalese.
Mali currently sit at the summit of the group B table after defeating Burundi 3:0 earlier this afternoon, with Senegal placing second.
Ghana will have to beat group leaders Mali on Saturday before securing next round qualification.
