Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Hearts of Oak have parted ways with head coach Samuel Boadu with immediate effect.[ads2]
The former Ghana Premier League Champions have cut ties with the enterprising tactician after one-all stalemate with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi last Sunday.
Boadu has been fired alongside assistant coaches Obeng Hamza Mohammed and Eric Amponsah after going three league matches without a win, losing against Aduana Stars and sharing spoils with Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko.[ads3]
The former Medeama SC trainer joined Hearts of Oak on a three-year deal in March, 2021 replacing Kosta Papic who resigned from the club few months after his appointment.
Despite the short stint with Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu clinched five trophies for the former CAF Confederation Cup champions including the Ghana Premier League title and two FA Cup trophies.
He guided Hearts of Oak to win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title after the team had gone twelve years without the league trophy.[ads4]
In his absence, Hearts of Oak U20 coach Samuel Nii Noi and Benjamin Mensah will take over on the interim basis before a substantive coach is appointed.
