Stop Showing Your Ignorance On The Issues Of BlackStars And Concentrate On Winning The Tema East Seat Back For Your Party.
Former Tema East Member Of Parliament, Titus Glover, I Hope This Letter Reaches You Promptly.
In The Spirit Of Sportsmanship, Recalling Your Recent False, Unscrupulous And Unsubstantiated Attacks On The Ghana football Association President, Kurt E.S Okraku On The Potential Sacking Of C.K Akonnor And Matters Arising, – We Are Freely Sharing Our Views On The Issue.
The Management Of The Blackstars Is The Responsibility Of The GFA. Therefore, Nothing Is Wrong If The Executive Council Proposes A New Technical Direction To The Black Stars Financier. It Is Important To Note The Following.[ads2]
1. If What You Said About The GFA Boss Kurt Okraku, “Imposing His Preferred Players On The Head Coach Of The Blackstars And Benefitting In Business Terms” Is True, Then Why Would This Same Person Puts In Measures To Destroy The Business He’s Benefitting By Recommending Or Appointing A new Head Coach?.
2. More so, C.K Akonnor Has Not In Any Way Made This Allegations Before. Not Even A Single Statement About The GFA Imposing Players In His Team’s Selection For National Assignment. Is The Former Legislator Now Turned To The Public Relations Officer Or The Communications Director For The Yet To Be Sacked Coach?
3. C.K Akonnor Has The Right To Opt Out If He Feels He’s Not Allowed To Perform His Functions Freely Which Could Affect Performances That Could Trigger His Sacking.
4. One Of The Major Achievement Of Any Football Association Is To Manage Its National Teams To Win Laurels-if The Blackstars Wins The World Cup Or The African Cup Of Nations, It Goes Down As An Achievement Of The Ghana Football Association. Why Would They Put In Direct Measures To Fail?[ads3]
5. C.K Akonnor Is The Luckiest Local Coach To Be Appointed To Handle The Black stars In Transition As The Assistant Coach To Head Coach Positions.
6. C.K Akonnor Is Not The Only Local Coach In The Country-there Are Other Competent Coaches Available Who Have Proven It And Can Deliver If Given The The Nod.
7. The Assertion Of ‘We Don’t Want A Foreign Coach But A Local Coach Is Neither Here Nor There’- Egypt is seven-time African champion with most of their successes spearheaded by a local coach.
8. The Egyptian football Association Recently Named Carlos Queiroz (A Foreign Coach) As The Head Coach Following The Sacking Of Hossam El-Badry After The African Giants 1-1 Draw With Gabon.
9. Surprisingly, Egypt Tops Group F With 4 Points In The World Cup Qualifiers.[ads4]
Mr Titus Glover Has Shown Beyond Reasonable Doubt That He’s An Attention Seeker And Not An Implementer. After Failing His Party Woefully, Titus Glover Wants To Revive His Political Career With The Help Of His Friend C.K Akonnor. His Comments Should Therefore Be Given The Needed Contempt It Deserves.
A Man Who Neglected His Own Constituents After They Trusted Him For Two Terms.
Hiding Behind Government Mainstream Projects To Win His Third Term But Got His Monumental Payback After Losing Miserably To Isaac Ashai Odamtten Of The National Democratic Congress By 9000+ Votes.
The Tema East Seat Happens To Be A Safe Seat For The NPP And Was Once Won By The NDC In 2000 Polls.
However, The NPP In 2004 Elections Regained The Seat From The NDC And Has Since Maintained It For Four Consecutive Terms Until The 2020 Elections When The NDC’s Ashai Odamtten Floored The Outspoken Titus Glover To A Painful Defeat.
As A Member Of Parliament And Deputy Minister Of Transport And Now The Alleged Public Relations Officer of C.K Akonnor, Represented The NPP In That Constituency And Performed Abysmally In A Way That The NPP Had To Lose Both Parliamentary And Presidential Elections By 9000+ and 2,557 Votes Respectively In That Area. This Is The constituency That Gave Nana Addo Over 6000 Vote’s Difference In The 2016 Elections.
The NPP Will Be In Transition By 2024 As They Look To Appoint New Leader. Instead Of Titus Focusing On Regaining The Trusts Of His Party And His Constituents, He Wants To Support A Coach Who Only Visited The Cape Coast And The Accra Sports stadium In Out Of Over 10 Match Venues In The Ghana Premier League Last Season In His Position As The Head Coach Of The Black Stars.
How Can You Help In Development Of Local Football Or Identify Players If You Don’t Go To Match Venues To Watch These Players Or The Local League- A Clear Case Of ‘A Local Coach Ignoring The Local league’.
One Assemblyman At Mr. Glover’s Constituency Had This To Say About Him.
“In All My Four Year’s As An Assemblyman, I Can Say For A Fact That My MP, Hon. Titus Glover Has Done Nothing For Padmoer Electoral Area And He’s The Deputy Transport Minister.” “Yet He Seems Unconcerned About The Bad Roads And Streetlights In The Constituency.

“In All My Four Year’s, I Have Not Seen Even A Single Project That Has Been Done. I Bordered A Car To My MP’s ( Former MP Titus Glover) Office To Inform Him About The Damaged Streetlights In My Electoral Area But He Only gave me 100 Ghana cedis As Transport When Going Back With The Excuse That The Light Will Be In Soon. Till date the lights are not ready. Glover Failed To Pick My Calls” (Hon. Charles Amos Interview With SVTV AFRICA in December 2019).
It Is About Time We Cut Down Politician’s Willingness To Dictate To Us In Areas That They Are Not Familiar With. The Government Has A Role to Play In Management Of Our National Teams. Indeed Government Over The Year’s, Have Been The Biggest Financier Of The BlackStars And All Other National Football Teams.
The GFA Also Has A Very Important Role To Play. If The GFA Wins, The Government Wins.
It Is Clear Ghanaians Are Not Happy About The Performance Of C.K Akonnor And The BlackStars.
There Should Be A Holistic Approach In Solving the Blackstars Coaching Issue.
If The FA Believes In A New Coach, They Should Be Given The Needed Support To Appoint One.
