Former Ghana international, Kwadwo Asamoah has retired from playing professional football after a decent career.[ads2]
The 33-year old has hanged his boots after winning 13 trophies in a total 279 Serie A appearances with 250 starts. He scored 12 goals and provided 24 assists across the period.
The versatile midfielder holds the record as an African player with the most appearances in the Italian Serie A playing for Udinese, Juventus, Inter Milan and Cagliari.
Asamoah has been without a club since leaving Cagliari in 2021 and has now decided to call it a quit with active football to begin a new adventure as a football agent.
He featured in 32 UEFA Champions League and 16 Europa League matches and made 17 appearances in the Coppa Italia.[ads3]
He signed for Juventus in June 2012 for 18 million Euros, a fee that was widely regarded as a big one during that time, making him one of the expensive African players.
Asamoah played 71 times for the Ghana national team where he scored four goals since making his Black Stars debut on February 11, 2009.[ads4]
Even though he spent most of his career in the Italy, Asamoah is set to begin a new career as a football agent.
He played in four Africa Cup of Nations; 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2013 editions for Ghana as well as two FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2010 and 2014.[ads5]
