The former Ghanaian international is currently preparing the Wa based side for the upcoming premier league season after taken over the team as the head coach.
But Kyfilla.com has been made to understand that, the former Leicester City full back doesn’t qualify to head the Northern Blues in the upcoming league season.
Per the Ghana FA Club Licensing rules, any head coach of a premiership side should hold a CAF License A certificate with the assistant to boast of a License B.

But John Paintsil has confirmed that, indeed he doesn’t have a License A certificate but has written to the Club Licensing Committee to grant him sometime to do the License A.
He told Kumasi based Fox FM that, ” It’s true I don’t have a license A and I have written to the Licensing Committee to give me sometime to do the A.
” I was assisting at Kaizer Chiefs but that certificate is equivalent to CAF License C and doesn’t make me eligible to coach a premiership side in Ghana.”
Meanwhile the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season has been scheduled to commence on December 28, 2019.
