Black Stars duo of Harrison Afful and Mubarak Wakaso have been ruled out of South Africa and São Tome and Principe clash.

The two players have been ruled out of the Ghana opening matches in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers due to injury.
Coach Kwesi Appiah included the duo in Black Stars 23-member squad for the AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and São Tome and Principe.
A report by Kumasi based Angel FM indicate that, coach Kwesi Appiah and his assistant CK Akonnor are looking forward to replace the two players with locally-based players.

Ghana face South Africa in the first game of the qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Thursday, November 14 before traveling to São Tome and Principe to face them on November 18, 2019.
