Captain of the Ghana Black Maidens Abdulai Mukarama has won the FIFA U-17 World Cup golden boot award.
Coach Evans Adotei’ side managed to secure nine points from the group stages but were knocked out in the quarter finals 4:2 by Mexico.
Even though Ghana were booted out of the tournament by Mexico in the quarter finals, Mukarama’s amazing performance stood tall.
She bagged in seven goals same as Claudia Pina from Spain but Mukarama played few matches compared to Pina.
She also won the bronze ball in the tournament which was stage in Uruguay.
Spain managed to beat Mexico 2:1 in the finale to lift the ultimate whereas New Zealand whipped Canada 2:1 to secure the third spot.
