The break started on Monday when the team landed at the Kotoka International Airport from Ivory Coast.
Kotoko were beaten 2-0 by FC San Pedro at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan to exit the competition 2-1 on aggregate having won the first leg in Kumasi by 1-0.
Skipper, Felix Annan and his colleagues were distraught by the loss, and they have been given a break to switch off, relax and put themselves together before resuming club duties.
Assistant Coach, Johnson Smith, broke the news to the players after the team landed at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra from Abidjan.

The Porcupines started the Africa campaign in the Champions League losing 3-2 away to Kano Pillars of Nigeria in August in the knockout round first leg. The tables turned that same month after a 2-0 win in the second leg.
The momentum could not be sustained when a 2-0 home win over Etoile du Sahel was overturned with a 3-0 second-leg and had to be relegated to the Confederation Cup in October.
