Proud United towering centre-back Yaw Dankwah has been handed Black Stars B call-up following his exploits in the NC Special Competition. The youngster is among the 28 players invited by head coach Maxwell Konadu to prepare for their next year CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso. Yaw Dankwah has been instrumental for Proud United, guiding the team to the quarterfinals stage of the NC Special Competition tier 2. He joined Proud United during the 2017/18 season from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC.

The 24-year old inked a three-year deal with the Aba Warriors after a successful mandatory medicals. The dead-ball specialist has been spectacular for Sekondi Hasaacas since his promotion from the junior side of the team in the 2016-17 season.
