The Baby Jet U16 tournament has ended in the Western region, precisely Takoradi. Kansaworado-based Young Barcelona emerged champions of the 20-team competition after beating Rejuvenated Soccer Academy in the grand finale via penalty shoot-outs. The two-day competition held at Gyandu Park in Sekondi, was organized by Goldstar Consult with support from Asamoah Gyan Foundation and Baby Jet Promotion. The Nigerians touched down at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra earlier this morning and would be connected to the afternoon flight to Kumasi. The launching of the Western region invitational tournament has been slated for Monday, August 26,2019. According to the organizers of the tournament, Western region Sports Committee, the launching ceremony will be held at the WRCC Conference Room in Sekondi. The tournament will be competed by eight teams; two Premiership clubs, five division one league teams and a division two outfit.
