[ads1] The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Kwesimintsim, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah has been elected as the member of Parliament for the Constituency. The Executive Secretary of the National Council Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has been elected after defeating NDC’s Philip Fiifi Buckman.[ads2] Hamid Armah annexed 24,759 votes as against Philip Fiifi Buckman’s 13,385 with Samuel Antwi of GUM having 464 votes.[ads3] Dr. Prince Hamid Armah defeated sitting MP Joe Mensah in the NPP Primaries and has went ahead to become the new member of Parliament for the Constituency.[ads5]

[ads1] The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the date and venue to make the declaration of the 2020 presidential election results. The incumbent MP floored the NDC’s Michael Otoo to win the seat again for the NPP.[ads2] Hon. Cudjoe accumulated 19,476 votes representing 59.18% whiles Michael Otoo pulled 13,433 votes which is 40.82%..[ads5]

The incumbent MP defeated NDC’s Grace Ayensu Danquah to retain the seat for the fifth time.[ads2] Joe Ghartey pulled 26,701 votes as against Grace Ayensu Danquah’s 24,527 votes with GUM Parliamentary candidate amassing just 535 votes.[ads3] The Railway Minister had a keen competition from the NDC’s parliamentary candidate who is a first timer. In all, 52,342 votes were casted at the 154 polling stations with 535 rejected ballots.[ads5]

[ads1] Peter Amewu has made history by winning the Hohoe parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Hohoe has been one of the strongholds for the leading opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) who have showed dominance for the past 28 years.[ads2] The Energy Minister defeated the NDC’s Margaret Kweku to win the seat for the NPP.[ads4] Amewu annexed 26,952 votes as against Margaret Kweku’s 21,821 with 389 rejected ballots.[ads5]

[ads1] The National Democratic Congress at the Essikado-Ketan constituency have accused the ruling New Patriotic Party for importing illegal ballot boxes with broken seals to the coalition center.
