The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed the date for its much anticipated constituency elections. According to a statement from the party, its annual Constituency Delegates Conference will kickstart from April 28 , 2022, to May 4, 2022. The statement says the congress will be held despite the statutory holidays of May Day and Eid-Ul-Fitr. Emmanuel Macron has been elected the president of France for the next five years. The 44-year old accumulated 58.55% of the total votes to retain the seat as the leader of the french-speaking country. Macron defeated rival Marine Le Pen, who nevertheless secured the far right’s highest share of the vote yet.
