Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II have announced the departure of Ghanaian goal poacher Asumah Abubakar according to a statement from the club.
Coach Adrie Koster’s side parted ways with the budding Ghanaian attacker after failing to reach an agreement on contract extension.
www.kyfilla.com understands that the promising attacker was offered a new two-year deal after his initial contract ended last month.
The 21-year-old has been struggling with fibula injury since last year after joining the Tricolores in 2016 and has finally decided to move on in his footballing career.
Asumah Abubakar managed to cap16 matches for the 1954-55 Eredivisie Champions.Below is the official statement from the club
“Willem II has not reached an agreement with Asumah Abubakar.
“The 21-year-old attacker joined the Tricolores in 2016 and played 16 official matches in the Premier League.The last year he was struggling with a fibula injury.

Meanwhile, the budding youngster has featured for the Portuguese U19 team during the 2016 UEFA U19 Championship but www.kyfilla.com understands that he’s still eligible to play for the Ghana Black Stars.
