With Ghana U20 head coach Yaw Preko inviting young and talented players for the 2019 All African Games in Morocco, one player who has been backed to earn a call up is Phillip Flamini.
The 20-year old has been exceptional for Sekondi Hasaacas since his inclusion in 2017 from bitterest rival Eleven Wise.
He made his debut game against King Faisal in the 2017-18 season and since then has rose to be a top player preferred by coach Joseph Agyemang Junior in any game.
With his good technique, skills and the quickest feet in the division one league, one does not need a soothsayer to tell that he will be a very great addition to the Ghana U20 team in the African Games.
Despite his energy, the flanks-man is also an accurate passer and has eyes for goals as well.
In the NC Special Competition, the former Rail Stars Academy youngster who was often played as a right back, capped 7 matches where he scored once. In total he has featured in 23 matches for Hasaacas, scoring 13.
His blistering performance for the 1931 side, attracted interests from Premier League sides Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Medeama Sporting Club.
With his mind blowing qualities, Flamini is the reason why many Hasaacas supporters believe the team will make a return to the Ghana Premier League sooner.
If the Black Satellites will return to Accra with the gold medal, Philip Flamini shouldn’t be overlooked in the team’s squad for the competition.
