The Western Region Club Owners Association held a successful forum for the four candidates vying for the region’s FA chairmanship seat at the Youth Centre in Sekondi today.

The forum had three out of the four candidates turning up name; Jacob Wemegah, Simon Ehomah and Mark Bismark Owusu Mensah in attendance as well as representatives from the various division two and juvenile clubs and media personnel in the Western Region.
The meeting which lasted over three hours was chaired by the President of the Western Region Club Owners Association, Mustapha Fudail (Capito).

Jacob Wemegah who is touted as one of the favorites for the vacant position in the Western football business, indicated his readiness in reviving the region’s football in terms of branding and providing the various districts the needed equipments to ease the work.

Simon Ehomah took the opportunity to disclosed that, he has been able to secure a sponsorship deal to cater for officiating fees which is a problem for majority of the juvenile clubs.

On his part, Bismark Owusu Mensah who is the President for lower tier Bis Paradise, affirmed that he will put proper structures in place when voted as the next Western region FA Chairman.
Mark Bismark Owusu Mensah stressed that, a web portal for the region’s football association remains a key focus on his agenda.

James Asiedu Kainyah alias Jamkay who is among the candidates contesting for the enviable seat, failed to attend the forum.

The elections will be held on October 18, 2019.
