King Faisal defender Pius Baffour Awuah is confident the club will survive relegation this season.
The Kumasi-based club were promoted back into the league by the then GFA Normalisation Committee in the 2019/20 season following claims of injustice which led to their demotion the previous season.
King Faisal began this season’s campaign on a higher note and were leading the league log at some point in time but the team is currently struggling to win matches.
King Faisal is languishing 14th on the Ghana Premier League table with 29 points after 25 matches, 10 points separating them and Elmina Sharks who are hopping at the button of the league log.
Many bigheads in the game believe King Faisal stand the chance of playing in the division one league next season considering the performance of the team currently.
But speaking on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio/TV, Pius Baffour Awuah believes his outfit can overturn the situation with determination and hardwork.
“It’s never late, and I know we will survive relegation.. We can overturn everything in our next matches. I will urge the supporters not to give up because with their support as well, we will survive relegation”, Pius Baffour said on Wontumi Radio/TV as monitored by Kyfilla.com.
King Faisal will face Dreams FC in week 25 of the Ghana Premier League at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
