Ghanaian defender and former Medeama standout Nurudeen Abdulai delivered an exceptional performance for Dunfermline Athletic in their Scottish Championship match against Partick Thistle on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old defender joined the Scottish second-tier club last summer from Medeama SC and has since become an integral part of the team.
Nurudeen started and played 88 minutes in the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw at KDM Group East End Park. He made a significant impact by scoring a goal that contributed to the team’s comeback against Partick Thistle on home ground.
The visitors took the lead through Logan Chalmers just 15 minutes into the game and maintained a narrow advantage at halftime.
Five minutes into the second half, the hosts equalized, inspired by the Ghanaian center-back. However, Partick Thistle regained the lead with a goal from Alex Samuel, assisted by Tony Watt.
Partick Thistle appeared to be heading for a crucial away victory until Kieran Ngwenya scored deep into stoppage time, securing a vital point for Dunfermline Athletic.
In the current season, Nurudeen Abdulai has made 16 appearances for Dunfermline Athletic, scoring one goal. Across all competitions, he has accumulated 19 appearances, underscoring his importance to the team.
