AshantiGold head coach, Thomas Duah has expressed his disappointment about the performance of the referee in game against Hearts of Oak.
AshantiGold were beaten 2:1 by Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday with Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scoring a brace for the defending champions.
Whilst many believe Hearts of Oak deservingly deserve the victory, coach Thomas Duah firmly hold the opinion that the performance of the referee played a crucial role in his side defeat to the Phobians.
Speaking after the game, coach Duah warned that his side will soon be cursing referees who officiate poorly against them in their matches.
“You could clearly see that the referee had his own results in his pockets, even though Hearts of Oak played well but the referee was awful, very soon we will start bringing our schnapps to the pitch, because we will be cursing any bad referees.”
Meanwhile, AshantiGold have dropped to the 13th position on the league log after the defeat with 25 points after 21 matches
