Ashgold Sporting Club have taken the lead against Liberty Professionals at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in Obuasi this afternoon.

The Miners ended the first forty-five minutes of the game with a 1:0 lead courtesy a goal from Appiah MacCarthy.
MacCarthy broke the virginity of the game with 45+3 minute spot kick.

Ashgold are third on the league log with fourteen points, just three points away from the league leaders Berekum Chelsea.
