Hearts of Oak have cut sod for the construction of the Pobiman Academy project in a colorful ceremony on Monday.

The sod cutting exercise which was attended by past and present management members of the club, GFA President Kurt Okraku and some Executive Council members, supporters and the media was to form part of their 108th birthday anniversary.
The Pobiman Academy project has been awarded to Turkish construction company Prefabex Yapi Teknolojileri San Ve Tic Limited.
The Turkish construction firm were given the contract after thorough due diligence by the Executive Board Chairman of the Rainbow giant, Togbe Afede XIV.
The land was acquired by Hearts of Oak over almost a decade ago but financial hindrances delayed the project.

The Pobiman Project, when completed, will house a staff residence, senior housing unit, gym training centres (pitches), laundry, swimming pool, lockers, toilet facilities, kitchen, and dining hall.
