[ads2]Former Sekondi Hasaacas defender, Kwabena Boafo has said the team could have lift the Ghana Premier League title during their era.
Kwabena Boafo played for Sekondi Hasaacas from 1997-2001 before joining Hearts of Oak in Accra.
He capped as much as 59 matches for the Green and Whites in his four years stay at the club.[ads1]
Boafo, a once upon a time pivotal defender in the country played with the likes of Kofi Abbrey, Fuseini Adams, George Owu and Frank Turkson and host of other great talented footballers to have emerged in the country at Sekondi Hasaacas.
Speaking to Kyfilla.com reporter Stephen Kwame Yeboah, Kwabena Boafo believes Sekondi Hasaacas had great players in the country from the aforementioned period and they could have won the Ghana Premier League title if they wanted to.[ads3]
“We [Sekondi Hasaacas] had the best players, even our bench was rich with quality players but what I can say is we weren’t ready to win the league. We could have won the Ghana Premier League with ease considering the abundance of talent at our disposal then”, Kwabena Boafo said during an exclusive interview with Kyfilla.com reporter Stephen Kwame Yeboah.
Kwabena Boafo capped once for Ghana senior national team in 2005.
