Ghana forward Andre Ayew has said goodbye to English Championship side Swansea City as he leaves the team for different challenge elsewhere.
The Ghana captain will not be part of the Swansea City squad for next season following the expiration of his contract.
He excluded from the Swansea City squad for next season after deciding to leave the club after about four years of undiluted service.[ads2]
In a short video posted on his social media page, Andre Ayew thanked the management, technical team, playing body and the supporters of the club for making his days with them a successful one despite failing to qualify them for the English Premier League on two consecutive occasions.
In the video, Ayew said, “I’m very sad I am leaving the club but I will always have a special place in my heart for the Jack Army’s because I truly love the people involved at the club”, he stated.[ads3]
“I haven’t had a chance to talk to you after the Championship Playoffs final defeat because it was very painful loss and I wish we made it to the Premier League together to play for this club at the top-flight but nonetheless I’m grateful to you all for your love and support throughout the journey “, he added.
The 31-year old has been Swansea City topscorer with 35 goals since returning from a loan spell at Turkish giants Fenerbache.
It is being rumoured that Napoli, Olympique Marseille and other notable clubs have shown interest in the Black Stars captain.[ads4]
Andre Ayew capped over 92 matches for the Ghana senior male national team, Black Stars since making his debut in 2007, scoring 19 goals.
