Ghana Premier League outfit WAFA have named University of Cape Coast lecturer Dr. Prosper Nartey as their new head coach.

The lecturer has been named the new gaffer for the Sogakope based club after successful discussions.
Dr. Nartey has joined WAFA after quitting fellow premiership side Karela United few weeks ago.

He joined Karela United on a three-year deal but left the job after barely three weeks of assuming the position.

Dr. Nartey is expected transform the team with just three days to the start of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.
Meanwhile WAFA will open the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season with a trip to the Akoon Park to face Karela United on Sunday, December 29, 2019.
