Hearts of Oak midfielder Daniel Kodie has expressed his gratitude to the Board Chairman of the club Togbe Afede XIV for saving his career.
Kodie has underwent a successful surgery in South Africa on Friday, May 14, 2021.
Kodie suffered the injury three years ago and has been out of action since then.
According to Daniel Kodie, he felt his career has come to abrupt end when he sustained the injury but Togbe Afede stepped in to send him to South Africa for the surgery.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Fox FM, Kodie said that, “I felt my career had come to an abrupt end after that career threatening injury “
“I am extremely grateful to his Majesty for such a wonderful gesture. The man is really working ,let’s all rally support behind him, he will take us to the promise land”, he added.
The operation took place at the Netcare Linksfield Hospital on Friday May 14, 2021 and supervised by Dr. McCready.
He is expected to return to Ghana next week for his rehabilitation at the Blue Valley medical Centre.
Kodie has been out of action since 2019 when he suffered a career-threatening injury during the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
