Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is set to snub a move to English Premier League outfit Arsenal as Atletico Madrid are ready to double his salary.
The 27-year old was heavily linked to a move to the English Premier League with Arsenal being the likely destination.

Partey was an inch away from Atletico Madrid as Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta was keen on securing the signature of the Ghanaian international.
But it seems like the Black Stars midfielder will stay in the Spanish Laliga as Atletico Madrid are ready to double his salary to prevent him from joining Arsenal.
Reports from Spain indicate that, Atletico Madrid have offered to double the salary of Thomas Partey and his buy-out clause will rise to 100 million euros, with the player interested in signing the contract renewal.

Thomas Partey has capped 183 times for Atletico Madrid of which 87 were last season. His current contract expires in 2023.
